Hi Debrayh,

I am so glad you enjoyed our writing but we don’t have a book titled Broken Vale. šŸ™‚

Just wanted to let you know I don’t care what design is on the cover, as long as, your name is on the cover. Thank you for your making your covers interesting. I do appreciate good art work.

I just finished Broken Vale. I loved it could not put it down. My wife said she was a book widow (She has a twisted sense of humor). Then she read it and her first comment was ā€œI hope she writes another book after the baby is born.ā€

I have almost every book you have written. I’m on a quest to find one I haven’t read yet.

Best regards,
Debrayh

US‑93, heading south to Vegas. First time my wife heard the intimacy scenes I’d written, just us, nowhere to hide. She went very still, held her breath, flushed… and at that exact moment the Thunderbirds stitched a giant heart into the sky rehearsing for Veterans Day. Surreal and perfect.

We loved parts. We winced at others. Two chapters died at the next gas station. On the way back we queued WHITE HOT to recalibrate the bar, and since Nov 11 I’ve been on 12–14‑hour revision days with a grin and a notebook.

This post lit up our process. Feeling before features finally clicked. Your ā€œless is moreā€ on physical description and using image references for vibe were immediate wins too.

Thank you.

Your books are our comfort shelf, we own them in print and audio (sometimes… more than once). You and Gordon didn’t just bring us into this genre; you’re why we’re close to typing The End. Your blog isn’t just helpful; invaluable is an understatement.

Bucket‑list hope: meet you both someday and say thanks in person. Until then, we’ll keep writing, keep learning, and keep buying whatever you two make.

I agree with Christine that the bookmark color is set by the Libby app.

If your bookmark is changing colors, do you have more than 1 library card? If so, then the color may be determined by the colors (whatever the initial default colors were &/or if you changed them) on the eCard to designate each Library.

Just as an FYI for anyone who wants to change the Libby Library Card (LC) Name & Colors:

In the (iOS) App, select the Center Icon (3 Parallel Lines).

-> ā€œYour Librariesā€ & Other Settings

Scroll to the bottom of the ā€œYour Librariesā€ list & select ā€˜Manage Cards’.

Then select ā€˜Personalize’.

On the bottom right corner of the displayed card, select the Round Icon (White Circle with 3 Black Dots) to rename the LC.

Select ā€˜Personalize’ w/ 2 Color Paint Drop Icon to change the displayed LC Color Combination.

You are jaded (so am I) and so spot-on. The business is what it is. The tools have changed over the years and the resources ebb and flow but the end result is still magical.
