You left the bits you cut off to level the cake??? Those are the cook’s treat, and all the calories leak out of the cut edges so they are sin free! But the cake looked as though it would taste wonderful, often the really beautiful ones taste of very little. That looked like a luxury version of what my family calls chocolate with glop cake. It’s a favourite.

I love the look of the cake. I have a saying in my house. As long as it taste good going in, it doesn’t matter what it looks like. It will all come out the same way ????. You to hard on yourself. I have no baking skills. Your cake LOOOK BEAUTIFUL!
