Gretchen, it’s a wireless receiver. The camera records and then transmits the recording to the storage device on the cat’s collar. This is how a wireless ring camera works. 🙂

I’m right there with you regarding the backup witness starting as soon as Ada sliced the original one in half, and then stopping the recording as soon as he died. However, how would the second witness have gotten onto the cat’s collar with that force field up?
